This block is for woven (non-stretch) fabrics and can be used to create:

• Fitted (or partially fitted) dresses, tops and skirts, or
• As a base to drape on top of.

If your design is fitted and you want to reduce the number of darts, purchase the One dart fitted dress kit.

This block is fitted to the body’s contours (skin tight).

FIND YOUR SIZE (see image 4)

1. Select mannequin (a.k.a dummy) or fit model (i.e. person) you will fit your design on.
2. Measure bust (A), waist (B) and hip (C). Hip is 20 cm below waist.
3. Find size in the Body Measurement Chart (image 4 on the left) with the measurements closest to your bust, waist and hip measurements. If you are in between sizes, go up a size.

EASE

The block doesn't include ease. It's measurements are exactly the same as the body's measurements.

If you want ease, go up a size – this will give you 5 cm of ease.

MEASURING TIPS

• Make sure measuring tape is parallel to the floor.
• Take measurements against the skin (i.e. not over clothes).
• Measuring tape should sit firmly, but not too tight.
• Measure the bust at the fullest part of the chest and the waist at the narrowest part of the waist.
